On the 30th, automobile giant Stellantis announced that it will expand its alliance with Toyota Motor Europe (TME), Toyota Motor Europe’s European business management company, to new large commercial vans. Electric vehicle (EV) versions are also covered.
Stellantis will offer a new model for sale in Europe under the Toyota brand. Vans will be produced at Stellantis’ Polish and Italian plants.
“The new heavy-duty commercial van is scheduled for mid-2024. TME will be the first to enter the heavy-duty commercial vehicle segment,” Stellantis said. It will lead to strengthening of the alliance and effective utilization of the Italian factory.
